Frapin 1990 Vintage — Single-vintage, ~30 years in dry cellars, Les Gabloteaux/Chez Piet vineyard
Bright orange-yellow, almost luminous. The nose is perfumed and complex — candied orange, dried fig, jasmine, and mango over a bed of subtle wood. The palate is powerful yet composed: candied fruit and apricot give way to licorice, cinnamon, and roasted notes, with a deep rancio and a trace of cigar box settling in for an exceptionally long, unhurried finish. A cognac that rewards patience and a little time in the glass.
